The pillows are definitely adjustable. There is an inner pillow filled with memory foam pieces that you unzip the remove material if desired. BUT the material used to keep the memory foam part inside is “noisy”.
When you lay on the pillow it sounds like you are laying on vinyl type plastic and it is not very comfortable.
