Only have used it 2 days, but works great. Replaced a 12,000 BTU one with this 14,000 BTU unit and it cools far better.

This unit I was hoping would be great. It isn't energy star and has a difficult time cooling down a 480 sq ft apartment, even when running for hours. You should purchase duct tape to secure the exhaust. It had a fairly easy set up. It just doesn't cool that well. For the money invest in a new one. The wifi connection is nice, but not worth the extra money. I think using it for a dehumidifier would be annoying as one of the drainage plugs is flush with the floor.

I got it all assembled and turned it on. A fan started and then when the compressor kicked it it made a horrible loud banging noise. I had to shut it off and then tried again with the same result. How did the refurbishers miss this? Are they deaf? Now I need to return the thing and it weighs a ton and I can't repackage it. Why did I ever fall for this? Plus, you can't remove the drainage drip pan to dump it. You need to hook up a hose and run it outside!!!
