Lunch Atop a Skyscraper, c.1932 by Charles C. Ebbets
Lunch Atop a Skyscraper, c.1932 by Charles C. Ebbets is a Mounted Print. Death-defying photographer, Charles Ebbets (1905-1978) was as fearless as the vertigo-resistant construction workers he photographed. Casually dangling on the I-beams of New York skyscrapers, the workers were immortalized in a series of nearly 300 dizzying shots published in the New York Herald Tribune. His photography epitomized the American spirit of risk-taking bravery and ingenuity that was behind building New York into a world class city. Ebbets, a daring photographer, also worked as a pilot, auto racer, wrestler and a hunter, while also working as the official photographer for prizefighter Jack Dempsey. Wood mounting gives this piece of art a clean and contemporary look. Our craftsmen hand-mount the art print to a 3/8" solid backing board that's detailed with beveled edges and finished in black. Handcrafted in the USA. Mounting hardware is included.
