This thing is an absolute BEAST! It has a very secure setup both on the base of the blender where it attached to the plastic jar and the lid that securely snaps shut. I like that it has just 3 modes (Low, Medium, High) along with a Pulse button. The pour spout at the top of the hard plastic lid is also terrific for no spill pouring as well as tossing the jar into the fridge to keep your creations fresh. I've only made a few protein shakes with it so far. However, I have no doubts that it will make great fruit smoothies and Margaritas or anything else that needs to be whipped up or crushed at high speeds with power! It looks really cool too. Great value and by far the best blender I've ever owned. It came well packaged and looks brand new even though it's a refurbished model. For under $60 delivered this will be a hard one to beat!
