Q:

On the picture, the bottle indicates 0.34 oz, however the description states 0.17 oz. Which is accurate? & how many mole can this bottle remove? Also, is this the original or ultra as I could not find this exact "natural" bottle on Dermatend's website. Thanks.

RENA  asked on  May 23, 2013

A:

Sorry for the confusion! We are featuring the 0.17 oz. bottle of Dermatend. It is for the original Dermatend.

Q:

Is this safe to use in the eye area? wlc

Wanda L.  asked on  May 23, 2013

A:

They do not recommend you use it on sensitive areas or in areas ½ an inch away from any mucus membranes (eyes, nose, mouth). The key to using this product is scratching the area lightly, and that allows the product to penetrate and cause the area to scab, dry up and fall off. Dermatend is a strictly topical product that should not be ingested in any way.

Q:

does this burn off the skin tags? does it irritate or hurt the skin?

Marlin H.  asked on  May 23, 2013

A:

Dermatend is an all- natural product; it does not contain any harsh chemicals. It creates a scab and you just allow the scab to dry up and fall off naturally.

Dermatend does not cause any adverse effects on your healthy skin. To protect the healthy skin around the mole or skin tag you are treating, please use Vaseline around the mole or skin tag to protect the healthy skin.

Q:

My issue is with skin tags; is there a difference in ease of removal between the two?

Tina G.  asked on  May 22, 2013

A:

Skin tags are a little harder to scratch as they are not always stationary, but the process is the same and the outcome is just effective. The process is as follows:

You would scratch at the mole with either the emery board (for raised moles) or the toothpick (for flat moles) to gently remove the top layer of the dermis. This allows DermaTend® to absorb completely into the mole and get to the base or root of the mole. You will feel a slight stinging sensation for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. This tells you that DermaTend® is working into the mole. Wash off after 40 minutes. You do this procedure once every 24 hours until a scab forms. This can take 1 to 3 days to appear. Once the scab forms, stop using DermaTend® and apply DermaTend’s healing balm to the area . You want the scab to come off naturally so that you don't have any scarring. It can take a few weeks for the scab to come off, just depending on how quickly your body heals - everyone is a bit different.
