Q:

What's the difference between this and the APP you can get for the IPAD?

Gabriela  asked on  Aug 22, 2013

A:

We can not speak to all the differences other than that would be specifically for phone apps, and this is a full featured version for Windows PCs for use with multiple Windows applications. You would need to refer to the manufacturer for more information.

Q:

I currently use Dragon 11 with a wireless headset. I want to verify that this version (12) can also be used with bluetooth wireless headset. Additionally, can you create and use voice commands to complete writing tasks and navigate your computer, because version 11 Home Edition doesn't have this feature.

Jerry G.  asked on  Aug 21, 2013

A:

The Home version does not support Bluetooth headsets. For more detailed product features and usage, you would need to contact the manufacturer directly or refer to their online documentation.

Q:

Is this for one user - one PC? My kids have to type papers all the time, if we download it onto a computer, can they each use it or does it only conform to one voice per program?

Deena J.  asked on  Aug 20, 2013

A:

Per the publisher:
Dragon is licensed on a “per individual” basis. You are permitted to install the software on more than one computer (such as on a desktop and a laptop computer, or on a work and a home computer), but you cannot use the software concurrently on more than one computer. You are permitted to create multiple voice profiles, so long as each voice profile is for you. If someone else wants to create a voice profile, that person must purchase a separate Dragon license.

Q:

I purchased a voice recognition program several years ago with another person. We were in the process of writing a book together. We decided that since I had a background as an English teacher, I would be the one to use the program and edit the book. It was very expensive. Unfortunately only one person could use the program. The bottom line is that, even though I speak a standard Michigan dialect- which of course, we call lacking accent, what I said, and the program repeated really creeped me out! Really!!!! My friends were all psychotherapists in the clinic and could not figure out how it was happening! Unfortunately, the potential co-author of the book could not use the program, because it was one person, one program! Any way, If it doesn't type out my voice as spoken ( I don't drink or use drugs) can I return it? JudiSocialWorker

Indian accented English
Inland Northern US (Great Lakes area)— Upstate New York through the Chicago area
SEAsian accented English—South East Asian
