The reviews below had me wondering but happy to report this robotic vac worked great right out of the box! Came charged and fully functional. I think the confusion for the customers below was the top panel on the vac flips up where there is a master power switch to turn the vac ON! If you don’t do that first, the vac battery will appear dead. After that, vac worked great cleaning all rooms! A+ buy
