Sweet fragrance inspired by Gucci’s classic floral pattern—created for Princess Grace of Monaco—lends itself to casual occasions
Gucci Flora Eau de Toilette for Women
Youthful and Feminine Scent
Delicate floral and citrus top notes lend this fragrance a girlish charm, while classic rose and patchouli turn its mood more seductive. Designed for casual wear, it’s just as appropriate at the office as it is on a weekend picnic.
Princess Inspired
The fragrance was created as a tribute to Gucci’s renowned Flora pattern. The pattern dates back to 1966, when the starlet-turned-princess Grace Kelly and her husband, Prince Rainier III of Monaco, visited the design house’s Milan boutique. In preparation for their visit, Rodolfo Gucci had commissioned a floral pattern for an original silk scarf he planned to give to the princess. What resulted was a design for the ages: nine bouquets of flowers from every season of the year, adorned with berries, butterflies, dragonflies, and other insects—and bursting with color.

- Top notes of citrus fruit, peony, and mandarin

- Base notes of patchouli and sandalwood
Specifics
- For casual wear
- Introduced in 2008

- Hexagonal bottle with a black top and bow accent
About Gucci
In the late 1800s, Guccio Gucci worked as a bellhop for The Savoy hotel in London. Carrying heavy luggage stuffed with fine clothing and early-edition paper e-readers, he noticed that Tuscan luggage was a favorite of the wealthy families who visited the hotel. He returned to Florence and opened his own leather goods workshop and store in 1921. Business boomed. Artisans designed a diamond-printed bag and the interlocking G logo—both icons of this brand to this day. By the 1960s and ’70s, the brand’s customers included Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Jackie O, and Queen Elizabeth II. In 1979, the New York Times wrote that Gucci’s G insignia was “a status symbol recognized around the world.”
Today, Gucci continues to produce signature items such as a bamboo-handled handbag, a Jackie O handbag, and penny loafers. Their modern menswear combines classic European styles with impeccable tailoring. Women’s apparel borrows menswear looks, such as suits and blazers, and updates them with plush fabrics or edgy silhouettes. Style.com described the brand’s “sexy, show-offy” aesthetic as “rock chic deluxe.”
