Q:

How far is the wireless range? and if I buy it and dint like it, how long do I have to return it?

Brad W.  asked on  Jun 21, 2013

A:

The included antenna usually can run an average of about 40 - 50 feet from your router. This really depends on the type of router you have as range will differentiate between router brands, but this seems to be the average distance. The 9dbi antenna works only on indoor cameras and can boost the signal 15 - 20 feet more in most cases. Please see here for the terms of the return policy.

Q:

We'd be using this for as a baby monitor as it was recommended from friends and they love it. Do we need to purchase an app or anything to be able to do this or is it just logging into the IP address? Someone asked if it was Skype compatible and it's not but could you use it for that purpose? Each person logs into the IP address? You can talk via the camera/your phone/computer right? There is night vision on this camera correct and is there warranty/support offered when purchased through this Groupon?

Jessica F.  asked on  Jun 20, 2013

A:

All necessary parts are included in the deal to make the camera operational. However, this assumes that you already have internet and a router. It only functions as an IP camera and can not be used for Skype chat. The FI8910W allows for two-way audio on the iPhone via the app LiveCams. However this is a third party app, and there may be a charge to purchase it. A 1 year warranty is provided bu Foscam.

They can be repositioned, as long as they are still in range of your wireless signal or if you are able to run an Ethernet cable.
