I guess the product was as described, but the photo makes the bed look a lot more luxurious than it really is. The dogs seem to like them because they are better than sleeping on a little rug on the floor. The size is barely large enough for my big pit bull puppy, but she is content to curl up on it. I ended up putting the older dog's former bed on top of this mattress, because the orthopedic mattress alone was not thick enough for my arthritic doggie to be comfortable. The extra cushioning does help, but would not recommend this by itself for any dog that is aching. The covers are easy enough to remove, wash, and replace. For some reason the dogs like to lick the fuzzy surface, so it needs to be washed often. They do make for a neater looking sleep area for the dogs.

This product came shrink wrapped in a small plastic bag... it is a cheaply made, thin. egg carton foam that even my dog didn't sleep on. He preferred the rolled up blanket instead of this bed. Very THIN, Very cheaply made. Would NOT recommend. You get what you pay for.

The bed dimensions listed at 44in.x35in.x4.5in., it arrived squashed into a tight, taped up bundle about a square foot size! Less than 1 month later the zipper is broken (only a single pull type). I went to wash the cover and as I remove the \"orthopedic\" mattress the egg crate part on the top of the mattress is broken off, falling apart. I expected it to last over 1 month! I guess I was spoiled by the great orthopedic pet bed I got from Costco. 1 year later, under constant use by a pack of rowdy dogs and the mattress is excellent. It wasn't quite what I expected when new, but I thought it to work out. until it fell apart so soon after buying it. glad I can warn others, Dissappointed

The pad is great, just as described. The first day we put it in our dog's crate (his \"house\") he didn't come out for hours and still seems to love it. We've only had it for a couple of months but it's holding up very well at this point (we have an 80 lb. lab that stays in doors and thus a lot of time \"lounging\" on this pad). Although, he's not a chewer at all so I can't speak for that type of wear. I wouldn't go so far as to call it \"orthopedic\", as the foam is not as thick and supportive as some more expensive ones, but it does provide nice cushioning. The cover is nice as well.

I purchased a Furhaven Orthopedic Pet Mattress for my four year old German Shepherd and my daughter’s 9 year old Yellow Lab. Both dogs loved the beds so much that within a week I purchased another two beds for them. The mattress is supportive and great for their joints. The Yellow Lab has back problems and he is always lying on one of his new beds. My Shepherd has a bed in every room. When you open the package don’t be alarmed. Give the foam time to inflate before your pet lays on it. You will not be disappointed.

I was worried when this bed first arrived because it was as flat as a pancake! I soon realized that it was because of the packaging. In a short amount of time it had expanded to the four inches high. It is the favorite of my twelve year old English Setter mix. We have several other beds and she will always go to this one first. It is holding up well even with three large dogs using it. We have two other beds that I paid more for, but I think that the dogs prefer this bed.

like others i expected the \"memory foam\" to be a solid piece, but that shouldn't deter you from this purchase. we have had no problems with the \"bed\" as far as lumps or displaced pieces and our dog is using it in his crate on a daily (and sometimes nightly, by choice i might add) basis. the item does come scrunched into about as small a footprint as possible and needs to be unwrapped and allowed to lay out for a bit before it is usable. that is why i gave it a satisfied rating as opposed to a very satisfied rating. even with all i just wrote, i'm not certain i would purchase this exact item again in the future.

I bought a medium for my three cats and one of them has monopolized it only leaving it to take care of her personal business. I'm ordering two more so my other two cats will have one as well. The quality of the beds is decent with the egg carton foam very sturdy but the covers are rather cheaply made. Still for around $15 each, a very good deal.

Bought 3 of these jumbo size pads last year for my daughter's 3 dogs. She has them on the outside patio and the dogs love laying on them. I would not condider them orthopedic but more firm. They have held their shape and firmness but the dogs are all 25 pounds or less. What's really great about them is that they are lightweight and easy to pick up if it is going to rain or the weather is bad. The covers zip off so they can be washed. A good feature to have. A great purchase.

My dogs (and myself) actually like this product. I couldn't give it a great review because the beds didn't seem to be particularly \"orthopedic\" in nature. The beds are not very thick but they ARE very fuzzy and warm. The dogs wouldn't lie on them as they are so we put the beds on top of their old beds and now the dogs are quite happy!!!! They get to lie on top of the warm and fuzzy \"orthopedic\" beds while getting additional depth from the old beds that now lie underneath.
