This sprawling open-world action title tells the stories of three criminals who come together to pull off a series of daring heists in a dazzlingly realized parody of Southern California. Gameplay

Players can switch freely between the characters Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, each of which has their own missions and agendas. Environment

The game’s impressively detailed world lets players run amok through an over-the-top version of Southern California, including Los Angeles, that re-creates many of the region’s landmarks and neighborhoods. Multiplayer

GTA V boasts a robust online component with its own missions, activities, and progression separate from the single-player game. Players can amass wealth and purchase increasingly flashy vehicles and lodgings, or spend their time racing on streets that wind around the coast outside the city.

Soundtrack

The game boasts two extraordinary soundtracks: one, created by Tangerine Dream and other artists, plays during missions and over menu screens; the other, a sprawling collection of familiar tracks by artists ranging from Elton John to Kendrick Lamar, plays over 17 in-game radio stations heard while driving or piped into diverse in-game locations.
