This is the only mouse that I have ever used where the "back" and "forward" buttons on the thumb side are backwards. On most other mouses, to go "back", you use the button closest to your thumb. On this mouse, that button takes you "forward". For those of us with small hands, it is rather useless to even place those buttons on the mouse since we have to completely adjust hand placement in order to utilize that feature of the mouse properly. It also "times out" more frequently than I would like... best described as leaving the mouse motionless for a span of time, only to have to press one of the buttons in order for it to begin responding again. Makes for risky clicking.
The mouse is cute and lightweight, and if it had worked for more than 5 minutes, I would have rated it higher. But not too high, as I found the action a bit stiff.
This wireless mouse is the worst I've ever encountered. You have to plug the USB Port into the back of your computer where the regular mouse would go (it won't work on the side USB ports) however the range is so short this causes it to not work constantly. And it "goes to sleep" after a certain number of idle seconds - you click the button to wake it up but then it clicks on the screen wherever it fell asleep. I bought 2 one for me and my co-worker and we have both since stopped using and purchased new ones. Do NOT buy!!
I don't recommend this product. It is lighter than the Microsoft and Logitech optical mouse. However, if you have done your research about this product, the description says it offers "power save" like an auto sleep feature, though this feature helps when the product is not in use, it is a pain to 'wake' it up from being on sleep mode even if you press the buttons. I had to turn it off and turn it back on... They should have said auto off as oppose to auto sleep.
I read a couple of bad reviews that were misleading. One said that the purchaser could not insert the AA batteries. Unfortunately the instructions on the box and in the box are different. The box says AAA batteries which work fine while the instructions in the box incorrectly say AA batteries. The other misleading review said the battery life was limited. I have not had that problem as long as I use new batteries and turn the mouse off at night.I am happy with my purchase and would purchase the optical mouse again.
I have a Mac. It would work for about 5 minutes then not at all
Very simple to connect. Works right away. No settings to configure
I returned it because when the computer(Windows Vista) is idle for a moment, nothing makes the mouse work. The only way it would work again was to reboot the computer. With other manufactures I have used juggling or moving the mouse wakes the computer,no matter how long the system has been idle. I don't know If my situation is a perculier case.Based on my experience I don't recommend it for anyone.
My computer is behind opaque glass and this mouse works flawlessly from over 15' away. I haven't tried any farther, but I'm sure it's got some room left in it. It automatically turns itself off so I don't have to remember. I've had it now for about 2 months and haven't replaced the batteries yet. I'm good with that...happy buyer.
I didn't like the sleep function that it goes into after a while of standing by, although I understand the purpose and fully agree with it, it does not wake up as instructed, you have to power it down and restart it twice, before it fully wakes- annoying. Wish there was an option to disable it. But when it's awake, works great- like most of us...
