Q:

Is this just for lefties, or is there a right-handed option?

Clark V.  asked on  Mar 6, 2013

A:

Only the layout option shown is available. However, this matches the classic arcade game stick/button layout used in arcades. This is actually the de facto standard layout for right-handed players.

Q:

Does this only work with iPad or other tablets?

Kirk G.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

It is designed for the iPad and other Apple devices and the app would need to have support for the controller.

Q:

Does this have a 30pin connector (older style) or the newer 8pin (lightning cable) connection?

Deana P.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

The controller does not connect to the tablet via a wired docking port connection. The iCade Core uses 2 AA batteries for power and syncs wirelessly to your tablet via Bluetooth. There is an opening on the back if you want to run a charging cable through from the tablet to a USB or wall adapter.

Q:

Where do you buy the games??? How much??

maria f.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

There are a large number of existing apps with iCade Core support, and pricing would vary. You would just need to refer to the app of interest to determine if it features iCade Core support. You can visit Ion Audio's website for a list of supported apps or refer to the app's features on the app store.

Q:

Why do you have to buy tokens for the Games after you install the APP??? The app says it is free, but you cannot play unless you buy Tokens after you install it!!!!!!!

Robert  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

Sorry for any confusion. The Atari Greatest Hits app includes one free game, but additional games within that app may require purchase. Please note that support for the controller is not limited to that app. Any developer can add support for the controller in their app, so there are many other supported games. You would just need to refer to the app of interest to determine if it features iCade Core support. You can visit Ion Audio's website for a list of supported apps.
