Q:

Do the syringes expire? If we use each application only 2 or so times a year, will the soltuion stay "good" for a couple years? (Assuming each syringe has approx 4 applications making the total 2 syringes, up to 8 applications). My teeth tend to be sensitive, so I would probably use the lesser amount and time needed, therefore would need the solution not to expire quickly.

Gina D.  asked on  Nov 15, 2013

A:

The gel will last a year at room temperature and 2-4 years in the fridge.

Q:

is this product made in usa and better than crest whitening kit over the counter??

eun k.  asked on  Nov 13, 2013

A:

It is partially made in the USA, packaging is made in China. It is much more powerful than a Crest system and does not contain hydrogen peroxide like Crest does. Hydrogen peroxide also has a very quick rebound rate during the first two weeks. Carbamide Peroxide does not and the results last much longer.

Q:

I have heard that the more high concentration of carbamide peroxide you use, the more your teeth will be sensitive. Some dentist use around 15% of carbamide peroxide. How safe it will be? Any side effects?

Vanessa M.  asked on  Nov 13, 2013

A:

That is correct, kind of. The higher percentage the more sensitivity potential, however, the lower percentage the longer you have to wear the trays to achieve the results, therefore it is a fine line. Wearing trays keeps the saliva off the teeth and dries them out which causes sensitivity. The goal with Icing is to have a high percentage so you don't have to wear the trays only a minimal amount of time and we formulate the higher percentage with Potassium Nitrate to desensitize. It is a method designed to get you the extreme white results without the extreme pain associated with other super whiteners.

Q:

How long is each session...meaning how long do you keep the trays in and the light on them? Also, do you use everyday?

Karen N.  asked on  Nov 13, 2013

A:

Each session ideally should last at least 30-90 minutes. We suggest doing a trial 30 minutes before bumping up to a 90 minute full session. Never wear trays more than 90 minutes since the active ingredients are all exhausted at that point. Never sleep in the trays, that is the old school technique that was used for less effective products.

Q:

Does it cause sensitivity?

Trini M.  asked on  Nov 12, 2013

A:

All whiteners can cause sensitivity from dehydration and that is why Icing contains Carbamide Peroxide because it does not dry teeth out like Hydrogen Peroxide whiteners. In addition Icing has a special formulation that contains Potassium Nitrate a known tooth desensitizer for those customers that have generally sensitive teeth.
