JBL OnBeat Mini Speaker Dock with Lightning Connector
JBL's OnBeat mini speaker dock connects to any Apple mobile device with a Lightning port, such as an iPad mini, iPhone 5/5s/5c, or fifth-generation iPod touch. Dual full-range transducers produce rich and balanced sound. Digital-signal processing (DSP) improves the connection strength, resulting in better overall audio with deepened bass so you can hear the music producer yawning in the song background. A USB port and 3.5mm input let you stream music from non-Apple devices, such as an Android smartphone or tablet. Devices recharge whenever the dock runs off AC power, or you can go mobile for up to eight hours thanks to the dock's rechargeable battery.
Great sound and easy to use The feature I dislike is the auto-turnoff -- if you aren't actively playing something, the speakers will turn off even if your phone is charging The phone will keep charging, but if, say, someone calls you or an alarm goes off, the sound won't play through the speakers This gives the speakers less utility than they'd have otherwise
The cord that connects my IPod to the device does NOT work. I have to use one from another device connecting two Bluetooth speakers, and switch back and forth when using the JBL Speaker. This is inconvenient as I use the JBL at a yoga class, and sometimes forget the extra cord connection. Any chance of getting another cord that doesn't have the faulty connection? The speaker itself is fine.
Great sound, the only drawback is you have to remove the phone from any case you may have it in before you can use the speakers. The case keeps the lightning dock from completely entering the charging port to make the speakers work or the device charge.
