Q:

Can two of these devices be linked to the same Bluetooth iPod, for example; to be used in a home in two different rooms and have the same music playing at the same time?

Gabriel H.  asked on  Dec 9, 2012

A:

At this time the Bluetooth technology of every device is limited in that each phone (or computer) can only connect to one Bluetooth device at a time. You would need to contact Apple to determine if there is a way to work around this. You can flip from one speaker to another through iPhones and most Bluetooth devices, but not play the same music from 1 device on 2 speakers.

Q:

Does the Bluetooth sync with Windows phones or would I have to use the jack? I ask this because in the previous answer that included the Windows phone as a device it worked with the 35mm jack was mentioned. Bluetooth devices seem to be hit or miss with the Windows HD7. I bought a Bluetooth speaker for my HTC Windows HD7 phone previously and it would not sync.

Danielle D.  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

The speaker has been tested for compatibility with virtually every platform available. While we cannot attest to the Bluetooth capabilities of their own device, we use this speaker with Win7 and Win8. We have experienced no issues with our Bluetooth speaker and these devices. We suggest contacting your phone's manufacturer to determine if the Bluetooth issue they encountered is widespread across that model or an isolated incident with their phone. All in all, Windows phone users are good to go with the Crasher Bluetooth Speaker.

Q:

Can I plug it into a USB port on my TV and use the speaker in my kitchen 25 feet away? Also, is there a volume control on the speaker?

Terry L.  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

Twenty five feet is close to the max distance of 30 ft, but it should work regardless of whether it is charging or running of battery. There is a built in volume control on the speaker AND you can control the volume of your Bluetooth device.

Q:

is the microphone, speaker compatible with skype?

Jack K.  asked on  Dec 10, 2012

A:

The speaker is compatible with Skype, but the microphone is not activated automatically while on Skype on a smartphone like it is on a call. Audio works, but the microphone does not. If you are on a laptop, there may be a way to enable the Bluetooth microphone through Skype audio settings, but they have yet to figure out a way to do this on smartphones.

Q:

I am looking for a unit like this, but when the battery doesn't charge anymore can the battery be replaced or is it just a plug in unit after that? Thanks

Kris S.  asked on  Dec 9, 2012

A:

The player has a 1 year limited warranty and that covers the battery. There are tips that we can provide to help ensure you get the most out of your rechargeable devices, but given that this speaker has a larger battery than competing models, its lifespan is longer as well.
