It's a great tool if you know its limitations. Overall it's a great knife, an OK set of pliers for light tasks, a bottle opener, and a marginally effective screwdriver. But in my every day carry experience that's exactly what I need. It's light and it doesn't try to be an entire toolbox in your pocket which means I actually have it on me when I need it.
I have wanted a multi tool for a very long time and was very hesitant as to which one to get. I wanted a light one I can carry with me every day without being too expensive and bulky as the well known full size ones but I also didn't want the cheap less premium feeling leatherman ones and this was the perfect mix for me. This is light and has the features that I really will be using and not wasting space with nice but not unnecessary tools. Very happy with this purchase.
This tool is a great replacement of your EDC knife. Like others stated, there are no frills with this tool, which keeps the weight and size down, making it a perfect pocket carry. Bare-bones, thus; Skele-tool. The knife is accessible without unfolding anything. There is a cheaper version also available through groupon that lacks the "CX" designation. The differences are: This has carbon fiber inserts to keep weight down (and look cool.) The blade on this model is a 154 Chrome-Molly full edge blade, while the other tool has a half-serrated SS blade. I loved my CX until it abandoned me on a roller coaster, so I'm picking up a new one. Regular price is closer to $99 for this model, it's likely that Dan K. is referring to the non "CX" model when saying regular price is $65.
