Q:

Does the light stay on when the seat is down? Does the light come on when the seat is lifted? Is the light on a timer and how long does it stay on after it comes on? How long does it take for the seat to warm up no matter what the setting?

Tamiya F.  asked on  Nov 15, 2013

A:

The LED light can be manually turned on or off. It’s not automatic, but the LED bulb uses minimal electricity and is a very low soft glow. Usually the seat is already on and heated, so it’s already warm. If for some reason it was turned off, upon turning the heated seat on, it begins warming immediately and is up to full temp within approximately 2 minutes.

How many watts for the three heat settings?

Jo L.  asked on  Nov 13, 2013

A:

Sorry for the delay! Total maximum watts for the product is 55 watts. Unfortunately, we don’t have it by each individual setting, but overall power consumption is very low.

Laura P.  asked on  Nov 12, 2013

It must be plugged in. The life cycle was tested for minimum of 5 years. The LED bulb is rated for 5.7 years of continuous use and could be replaced as needed fairly easily.
