About Method
Two young men who have been friends since childhood move in together. An unlikely catalyst for an international brand of eco-friendly cleaning products. But designer and marketer Eric Ryan wanted to invent a cleaning product that wouldn’t have to be hidden in closets or under sinks, and chemical engineer and self-styled environmentalist Adam Lowry had the knowhow to make that possible. Together they aimed to create cleaning products that worked just as well as others, without the toxins and harsh chemicals that so many of the top products had. After plenty of trial and error, Lowry and Ryan had their first cleaning sprays, and Method was born in 2001. A year later, they were selling products in Target stores, and just a few short years after that, they had expanded beyond the US to the UK and Canada. Their products today, ranging from home cleaners to laundry soap to body wash, stay true to their original vision, as all are environmentally friendly and nontoxic, even for kids and pets.
