WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DISTANCE THAT THE PROJECTOR IS SUPPOSED TO BE FROM THE SCREEN? I HAVE A SOLID PLATFORM THAT IS HINGED TO A WALL OPENING SO IT IS FLESH TO THE WALL AND NOT NOTICEABLE WHEN NOT IN USE. IS THIS UNIT SUPPOSED TO STAY STATIONARY SO IT WILL MAINTAIN IT'S FOCUS? OR WILL IT BE READY TO USE AS SOON AS IT IS LOWERED AND TURNED ON? I ALREADY HAVE A PULL DOWN/ROLL UP TYPE MOVIE SCREEN THAT'S PERMANENTLY MOUNTED IN MY VIEWING ROOM. WILL IT BE USABLE FOR THIS PROJECTOR? OR DO I NEED THE SCREEN THAT IS PROVIDED WITH THE PROJECTOR?

You could use your own screen if you have one. For recommended distances you would need to consult the manufacturer's documentation online. They should have guidance in the online user manual, as well as other technical and usage information.
