The Dakota Alert DCPA-4K Driveway Probe Alert Alarm Kit helps protect your home and property from unexpected intrusion and theft. This kit is specifically designed to keep a track of vehicles entering your property via the driveway and alerts you with an audio alarm whenever an unusual activity is detected. It includes a transmitter unit with a detection probe and DCR-4000 receiver unit.Motion DetectionThe transmitter comes with a 50 feet direct burial cable connecting the probe to the exterior case. The probe can be buried parallel to the driveway, while the cable can be run to a tree or post nearby, where the transmitter box is located. The probe can detect vehicles passing by within a range of 10-12 feet. Once a vehicle is detected, the transmitter immediately sends a signal to the DCR-4000 receiver located at a distance of up to 1 mile (may vary depending on the environment), triggering an audio alarm to alert you.Receiver UnitOnce a signal is received, DCR-4000 receiver unit will automatically trigger an alarm to alert you. The receiver unit can be used as a base to build your own wireless system by connecting to other compatible Dakota Alert transmitter units. It supports up to 12 different tunes, selected from the transmitter’s end, to distinguish between different zones from where the signal has been detected.Power SourceThe transmitter unit operates on four CR123a batteries (included), while the receiver is powered using 12VDC transformer.Ideal Wireless SystemThis Driveway Alarm Kit is ideal for locations where a motion detecting system may trigger false signals. It also remains discreet to some extend as the probe is buried underground. The transmitter is weatherproof, making it suitable for exterior locations.
