Middle Things APC Pocket Controller

The Middle Things APC Pocket Controller lets you take full advantage of your BMPCC 4K / 6K for live productions by remote control possibilities. With this controller, you can use the Blackmagic Software Control or the Camera Control Panel to adjust your BMPCC 4K and 6K cameras settings remotely! This means minimal changes in your Live Production workflow. These settings include Shutter, Iris, WB, Gain, along with some Primary color correction, Focus and Zoom

An Efficient SDI to Bluetooth Conversion
Since the BMPCC 4K / 6K does not have an SDI input connector like the other Blackmagic studio cameras, this pocket controller converts the SDI program feed from the switcher into a Bluetooth signal that your camera can read. Please note that you still have to take the pocket HDMI signal and send it to the switcher.

Power Option
The Middle Things APC only requires a 12VDC connection to operate and features an SDI loop out port if you want to daisy chain another Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.

Simple Workflow
If you are thinking about Bluetooth connection reliability in crowded venues, then be assured. Simply place the pocket controller as close as possible to the camera so that the Bluetooth strength is at its maximum. Then, using a traditional long-range wired SDI connection, you can connect the controller to program output.

Easy to Use iOS App
Pair your BMPCC and this Middle Things Pocket Controller via the Pocket Control iOS App. This app also allows you to select which camera ID corresponds to your pocket camera. You can configure up to 8 APC with a single app! Once the camera is paired to the APC unit, you just need to set the camera ID.

  • You can use the Software Control or the Camera Control Panel to adjust your BMPCC settings remotely
  • Since the BMPCC 4K / 6K does not have an SDI input connector like the other Blackmagic studio cameras
  • Then, using a traditional long range wired SDI connection, you connect the Pocket Live Controller to the Program Output
  • Another great feature of the APC is that you can operate your DJI Ronin-S/SC/RS2 or Ronin 2 directly from the Blackmagic
