It helps somewhat to soften a firm mattress. A foam topper may have been better but they are sometimes too hot. Since it is a king-size, I'll have to wash it in a commercial machine as it won't fit in a regular washer.

this is by no means 3 inches thick, maybe 1.5 inches at best! it did not improve my sleep quality at all! And I've been trying to reach out to the company and have had no luck!
