The Shabbos Keeper automatically activates Shabbos Mode before Shabbos and Yom Tov, then reverts to weekday mode after. Using Enhanced Shabbos Mode (EHM) the Shabbos Keeper automatically sets the refrigerator to Shabbos Mode each week and sets back to weekday mode after Shabbos (and Yom Tov). Examples problems include- Auto Defrost- Heating coils embedded in the freezer walls melt frost to prevent ice buildup. These are activated by computers that calculate refrigerator usage. Digital Thermostats- Microprocessors constantly read refrigerator usage. This information is used to make changes to the electronic systems. Damper Air Vent- Electronic air vent located between freezer and refrigerator. Damper opens and closes based on refrigerator usage. Fan- When thermostat feels the temperature in the refrigerator is too warm the damper opens, allowing cold air to flow from freezer into refrigerator. Air is then dispersed around the refrigerator section by a fan. Fan is directly affected by opening door. Regulation The compressor is regulated independently from users actions, exclusively by thermostat. Defrost is regulated exclusively by timer.
