Q:

what is the difference between the XV 11 and the XV 21

carol k.  asked on  Mar 24, 2013

A:

The XV-21 is the pet and allergy model in the box you get the pet and allergy filter. The normal XV-11 does not include the pet filter/brushes. However you are in luck, because in this Groupon deal you get the XV-11 with the Pet and Allergy upgrade kit which includes the filter and the brush! So the XV-11 being sold on Groupon with the bundle feature is identical to the XV-21, the only difference is the XV-21 comes with the filter+brush in the retail box and the Goupon sale comes with the filter+brush in a bonus package included in the shipping box with the retail boxed XV-11.

Q:

Does the vacuum have spinning brushes on the bottom? If so, can they be turned off. We had a robotic vacuum before that scratched our Stained Concrete floor. We have a new floor material that the manufacturer said not to use any vacuums that spin.

Gary J.  asked on  Mar 23, 2013

A:

The vacuums brushes cannot be turned off, and they do spin. However this product was specifically designed for hard floors and carpet. If you are still concerned about the vacuum working on the area of your home that has the special floor you can always have the vacuum not go into that room by placing boundary strips (included) in the door way that leads to that room and the product will then not vacuum the room with the stained concrete floor.

Q:

I bought an I-robotic vacuum and once it was unboxed and charged I read that it doesn't work on medium or high pile carpet. I had to send it back. Does this work on high pile carpet?

Sylvia S.  asked on  Mar 23, 2013

A:

The vacuum will work on most pile carpets however if it is extremely high the product might have a hard time making the transition to the high pile carpet from the normal floor. The vacuum can always be set to not vacuum over the carpet if it is an issue by placing the boundary strips hidden underneath the carpet. The vacuum would then automatically avoid the carpet and only vacuum the rest of your house!
