Q:

If I purchase this Norton Internet Security, will I be able to instantly download it onto my computer, or will I have to wait about 2 weeks to receive some kind of a box. I've only bought the kind you download instantly in the past. I'm just wondering how this works, since my current subscription is expiring in 4 days.

Beatriz G.  asked on  Mar 23, 2013

A:

This software will be sent to you via mail. You will not be able to download it directly.

Sorry for the confusion. I think you may be confusing the PC version and the Mac verison. The PC version supports IE, Firefox and Chrome, while the Mac version supports Safari and Firefox.

Q:

In your response to a prior question as to whether the MAC version would work with an older MAC 10.4.11 OS, you said that it was compatible. However, if I look at the spec requirements shown in the details it states that Norton v5 works with new OS and v4 works with older OS. When you go to order, there is no option for the v4 edition. How do you get the version compatible with older MAC OS?

Jon S.  asked on  Mar 25, 2013

A:

The Mac version would cover either of these two scenarios: Norton Internet Security 5 for Mac: Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8 or Norton Internet Security 4 for Mac: Mac OS X 10.4.11–10.6 running on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs. So you would just be using the version 4 on the disc.

You could put the software on your laptop and desktop; the software would only work for one user so another family member could not use this.
