Q:

Can this be used to renew an existing subscription electronically?

Karen A.  asked on  Feb 24, 2013

A:

If you have an existing Norton product, you will need to let your current subscription expire and renew this product separately. MD is the full security protection now allowed on multiple devices. This would be just as good, if not better than any current Norton security that you have installed.

Q:

When does the year of protection start? When you buy the product or when you install it? For example, can I buy three of these products and install one each year, essentially getting three years of protection? Do they have an "install by" date or expiration date?

Kaylyn P.  asked on  Feb 24, 2013

A:

Protection starts at point of download. You will get one year of protection for your 3 devices from this point.

Allison J.  from  Self  replied on  Feb 25, 2013

A:

According to a previous answer, this product is delivered on a CD which triggers a download of the current version of the software. So if I understand correctly, the "point of download" occurs only after the disk is inserted to begin the installation process. If this is correct, you should theoretically be able to hold on to a disk you purchase today, and install it at a later time to get the full year of coverage.

Tony S.  asked on  Feb 24, 2013

A:

This is latest version or 2013 that is in stores.

Q:

Why doesn't the box say 2013? How can we be sure it is the latest version of 360 prior to buying? Is there anything in writing from Norton that validates it is 2013 360?

CAROL R.  asked on  Feb 26, 2013

A:

All Norton Products are version less, and are configured to update automatically to the newest version via our live update technology. Users are always prompted to download and install the most current product. By purchasing Norton Multi-Device you are purchasing a license for the product(s) regardless of version and the newest version should always be available to you.

Norton Multi-Device uses a cloud-based Norton management console that lets users take charge of their devices' security from anywhere, at any time, right over the Internet. In addition, Norton 360 Everywhere is a flexible solution that allows customers to move protection from one device to another to meet their changing needs as they add or change the number and type of devices they own. Unlike other offerings that bundle various products into one box and require multiple product keys, Norton Multi-Device offers a single key to activate protection on all devices. Products can be downloaded and installed via the web on all devices. While there is a FREE stand-alone Norton Tablet Security Application for Kindle available at Amazon, at the current time the Norton Mobile Security for Android does not support Kindle.

Q:

OK I currently have Norton Security on my computer that expires soon. You are saying to let it expire and then install this product. My current Norton has the "Login Assistant" whereby it remembers all of my website logins and passwords. If I buy and install this product, does it have the Login Assistant as well, and will all of my logins be transferred over to this software from my old???

Fred  asked on  Feb 25, 2013

A:

IDSafe ("login assistance with passwords) is part of the Norton 360 Component for PC that is included in Norton Multi-Device. If you have a local vault from a previous Norton product, you can move the data to online vault.

Q:

When someone asks "what version?, you answer 2013. That is not a version! I have now Norton 360, VERSION 6.4.1.14 on my three computers. What is the "version" of this edition comparable to what I listed? Go to Norton 360, choose SUPPORT, and then ABOUT. The VERSION will be shown. Steve

Q:

I saw on the other questions that I can purchase this and then install it when my current Norton expires (in September) My question would be, sorry if it's stupid but once I would install it all the upgrades that presumably have happened between now and September would automatically happen also. Is that correct?

Kim R.  asked on  Feb 25, 2013

A:

Yes, any updates would automatically be reflected when installing Norton 360 MD. Just ensure you don’t auto-renew your current Norton license.
