Beyond their beauty, these solid copper bowls also possess a quality revered by professional chefs and bakers alike: egg whites beaten in copper bowls gain up to a third more volume and are more stable, yielding airier cakes, fluffier chiffons and puffier soufflés. Brass thumb rings on the side of each bowl allow for a firm grip during whipping and makes them easy to hang for out-of-the-way storage.

It is much lighter in weight than I thought it would be. Also has several "imperfections" that look as though it was mishandled. Second bad deal for me from Groupon. 2 out of 2.

The bowl is great quality. Beautiful shiny outside that I hope I can maintain. 5 qt size is great for big batches of egg whites. Can't wait to use it for the next cake I bake.

How is it considered a mixing bowl when the bottom is round??! Or does everyone else in the world that uses a mixer hold the bowl in their hand while they mix? Who thought this was a good idea??

Bowls are not advertised as rounded bottoms and are not sturdy for baking.
