Q:

will this purchase extend my current subscription or give me duplicate magazines?

Justin M.  asked on  Feb 17, 2013

A:

Yes, this will extend your current issue. When placing your order on our website, you will be brought to the Shipping page. This is where you will have the option to select New Order or Renewal. New Order indicates that this is the first time you are receiving the magazine. Renewal indicates that you are already receiving the magazine. These two options are important to us so we prevent duplicates from occurring.

Q:

I want to give this as a gift but not right now since I'm waiting for a birthday in a few months. I see this expires April 20th...does that mean I can wait to redeem this Groupon until then and then the subscription will start then?

JESSICA B.  asked on  Feb 17, 2013

A:

We estimate the time to receive your first issue in the mail is between 6 - 14 weeks, from the time your place your order on our website. This is due to the large number of orders we've received as well as the publisher's print schedule.

Q:

Can I have the magazine sent to a different address than mine?

Kathy M.  asked on  Feb 17, 2013

A:

Yes you can. When placing your order, you would input your name and address under the Billing Address section. By default, the Delivery Address section matches the Billing Address. You can de-select the option "Same as Billing" just above the Delivery Address section and then enter a different name and mailing address of where you would like the magazine to go. You can send us an email at support@1stchoicemags.com if you have any further questions or if anything is unclear.

Tim S.  asked on  Feb 18, 2013

A:

The notice on the Groupon page is incorrect. We do accept orders with PO Boxes.

Q:

The 1st Choice Magazine website is asking for my credit card information. Hasn't this already been paid through Groupon? Also the website states that this will renew automatically, but the response to this question above states that it will not. Which is true?

Mitch W.  asked on  Feb 19, 2013

A:

When a purchase is made through Groupon, a redemption code is given. This code is then used when you are placing your order on our website so that it will bring your total down to $0.00. The deal you purchased through Groupon is for a 1 year subscription. Should you like to add more years to that subscription and/or order another magazine then there will be an additional charge. One other reason you could be charged on our website is if the redemption code was not successfully entered, such as a typo. We suggest copying and pasting the code to help avoid this. With regards to auto-renew, I can assure you, we at 1st Choice Magazines do not auto-renew. You, the customer, control your orders, we do not. Only if a customer asks us to auto-renew, will we set up auto-renew for that customer only.

Annette B.  from  Self  replied on  Feb 21, 2013

Q:

I want to buy this, but I don't want it shipped to my billing address. I don't know if anyone else has the same problem, but when the screen comes up to purchase the Groupon, it does not give me an option of where to have the subscription delivered (if a different address than the billing address). Can I email someone the address I would like it shipped to? I just want to make sure it doesn't get delivered to me.

Stephanie M.  asked on  Feb 19, 2013

A:

By default, the Delivery address will be the same as the Billing address. However there is a check box located at the top of Delivery address that you can de-select which will then allow you to input a different name and address, such as a gift. Also to note, you can log into your account and update the name and delivery address for each magazine your ordered. You are more than welcome to contact us at support@1stchoicemags.com and we can assist you further.

A:

Just to clarify, information pertaining to your magazine order such as who and where it will be mailed to is done through our website. The purchase of the voucher is done through Groupon.

Q:

So this statement from the product information page is an error? "This subscription will renew automatically at the end of the one-year period, but can be canceled at any time." I just don't want to subscribe, complain about an auto-renewal, and then be told that the page clearly stated that it will be automatically renewed.

Justin M.  asked on  Feb 19, 2013

A:

I completely understand your concern. Auto-renewal is a common feature when ordering magazines through other companies however with our company, it is not. It has never been our policy.

What do I need to do if i redeemed my purchase through groupon without going through 1st choice magazine first?

cecilia G.  asked on  Feb 18, 2013

A:

Once you purchase your Groupon, you need to place the order through our site, and use the code given to you by Groupon to bring the price to zero. Groupon does not place the order for you. Plus, going to our site will let you in on even more great deals!
