The product was very unstable and cheap. I don't believe there was a description for the weight limit or size of dog. I have a 100 lb. Lab and she was too big for it and felt unstable. She is old and has bad legs so I thought this would work for her to get in my van with it being portable, but it did not. It is obviously for a small dog and I think it is even unstable for a smaller dog.
I love these steps! My little beagle-bichon would never be able to get on the bed or couch without them. He did not want to use them at first because they are loud when in use (they are not solid, but folding, so sound is amplified as a hollow set would). But he learned very quickly and now uses them all of the time. Very much worth the price!
I'm so happy to have my new pet steps for my older kitty who was having trouble getting up on my bed. She uses it all the time now and I'm relieved that she's not jumping down from the bed and putting all that stress on her joints. The steps are very light and can be folded flat for storage. I highly recommend them!
The product is exactly what I was looking for - and at a very reasonable price. My dogs, however, are reluctant to use the stairs just yet. My oldest dog is 55 lbs and finds it difficult to jump into my car now, so he will most definitely be the one to benefit from the stairs once he overcomes his fears.
They only thing I don't like about them is that they are noisy when my dog goes up them -- it would be better if they were cushioned in some way -- like had a plush cover or something. They are taller than my previous dog steps which is what I was needing to help my older dog clear the higher mattress.
Steps are not properly wide enough or deep enough for a pet to feel comfortable to climb. Also unless it sits on carpet it slides very easily again terrifying pets. When placed up against a bed or couch, only the first step is accessible for pets. It is now in the trash after 1 day! Very dissatisfied
These are perfect for our 6 lb dog! We've tried several steps over the years and he can be very picky - it took him a few times to get accustomed to these, but now he happily uses them all the time. Light enough to be easily moved or put away as needed, but plenty sturdy for their intended use.
My dog is 30 lbs. To large to use these steps. I bought because she has joint problems. These steps would be good for dogs maybe up to 20 lbs. Over that weight and they are useless, the dog is to big. Nothing wrong with the steps but they should put a weight limit in ad.
The steps are much much smaller than expected width
Kind of unstable. Maybe it's only appropriate for really small dogs. Mine is about 45-50 lbs and it wobbles whenever she gets on them, then she jumps off because I guess she's to afraid to go the rest of the way. Don't blame her. May try to reinforce them somehow.
