- 6”x9” speakers with 550W maximum power (TS-A6985R)
Pioneer A Series 4-Way Car Speakers
These car speakers instantly upgrade your vehicle’s audio system with their ability to faithfully reproduce everything from rap lyrics to soaring orchestral themes.
Responsive Cone Design
As music passes through the speakers’ cones, its tone stays true to the character of the original recording. Each cone is constructed with a multilayer mica matrix that combines lightness with sound-supporting rigidity.
Sensitive Soft Domes
Even high notes sound clear and true thanks to the soft dome construction of these speakers’ tweeters. Each diaphragm’s fibers are developed to amplify mid- and high-range frequencies with speed and accuracy, so you can blast your favorite songs loud and clear.
Durable Voice Coil Sustains High Power
With these hardy speakers, your car can provide the soundtrack to tailgating parties and picnics, or just wake the kids up for school in an unforgettable jolt. Heat-resistant voice coil wire can withstand high input power for longer than standard coils.

If you’re going to name your company Pioneer, you better back it up. Fortunately for the electronics firm with that name, it has done so for several decades, designing innovations that soon became ubiquitous, such as the laser disc (a precursor to CDs and DVDs), automotive CD player, car GPS, DVD player, and plasma HD display. The company that is now Pioneer dates back to 1938, when Tokyo resident Nozomu Matsumoto opened a speaker shop in his garage. He couldn’t have imagined many of the products Pioneer makes today, with state-of-the-art stereo-speaker equipment for the car and home, as well as DJ equipment that enables users to finally create the long-clamored-for dubstep remix of “Mary Had a Little Lamb.”
