Q:

I have read all of the reviews & so many describe this product exploding. Is there any chance of that happening with this new version. I was ready to purchase this until I read about the exploding & that scares me terribly. Did the people that had that happen have serious injuries ? to the point of lawsuits even. thank you

JOYCE H.  asked on  Jan 1, 2014

A:

Those reviews are not for this product, but are for a previous product that was also a ProSonic. That was an extremely rare non-serious occurrence that cannot possibly happen with the new oscillating mechanism in the ProSonic Glow.

Q:

Does the prosonic spin

lescares  asked on  Jan 1, 2014

A:

The ProSonic Glow does not spin, but instead oscillates. Oscillation is clinically shown to provide a superior deep clean compared to spinning, and sonic vibration is what puts the "sonic" in ProSonic.

Q:

Where can I find reviews on this item?

Kelly S.  asked on  Dec 31, 2013

A:

You can find reviews on sites like Amazon for the Prosonic Glow. Just be sure that you are searching for the Prosonic Glow because there are different versions of Prosonic which are on the market and which have been in the past.

Q:

How often do the brush heads need to be replaced? Where can replacement heads be purchased? The product has a one year warranty, will the item come with contact information for contacting the company if a problem arises?

Mary S.  asked on  Dec 31, 2013

A:

The brush heads should be replaced every 3-6 months. Replacement brushes can be purchased on the Beauty ORA website. You should be able to find it by searching Beauty ORA. Currently the brushes are sold there for $12.50 or $21 for a two-pack. The product comes with contact information, or you can contact the company through the Beauty ORA website.

Q:

I jumped and purchased this Groupon thinking that it was the Clarisonic and now after doing some research I've found more than a few reviews stating that this product is not only terrible, but that the company is also terrible to deal with and that the product is unsafe. Can you provide some additional information that may ease some of my concerns regarding my purchase? I know that you mentioned this is a new model; however, is this new model produced by the same company that made the previous model that exploded?

ALLISON K.  asked on  Dec 30, 2013

A:

ProSonic is a different brand from Clarisonic, yet it has the same efficacy when it comes to cleansing, has a similar mechanism of action, but is sold for less than half the price of the 3-speed Clarisonic devices (sold at $200 or more). Prosonic is the only comparable professional-level home device available at this price over the internet with 3 speeds (for sensitive skin, normal skin, body mode), compared with other brands like Clariosnic on the market that go for double or triple the price of Prosonic. ProSonic is 6 times more effective at removing dirt, makeup, oily patches, and skin impurities than cleansing your face (and body) with your hands or washcloth.

Moreover, unlike many models of Clarisonic, this ProSonic set comes with 4 brush heads (sensitive, normal, and body brush, as well as pumice stone) and a free 1 ounce cleanser and 1 ounce microdermabrasion cream.

The Prosonic sold here is a newly improved version which is completely safe, long-lasting, and effective. The company behind the ProSonic is ORA (you can go to the BEAUTY ORA brand wesite), a United-States based company which makes professional home beauty devices like the the ORA dermal roller system and Anti-Cellulite Massager System called ProBody. Additionally, ORA is the maker of science-based skincare products.

Q:

Will I need to continue purchasing the microderm abrasion cream for it to work? Or can I use my regular face wash?

Elizabeth J.  asked on  Dec 29, 2013

A:

You can use any cleanser or soap with the ProSonic to clean your face and achieve desired results.

Q:

i'm buying it for my cousin at oversea, what is the voltage used for this device? how long does the battery last, is it replaceable?

MARY  asked on  Dec 29, 2013

A:

The Prosonic has a universal charger so your cousin should be able to use it as long as they have a plug adapter so that it can be used with the overseas outlet. The battery is not replaceable and does not have a set lifespan; it should last a long time.

Q:

I was wondering what type of battery does the product use/need? Thanks, Joanne

Joanne S.  asked on  Dec 28, 2013

A:

The ProSonic Glow has a rechargeable battery inside the device and comes with a charger base and cord.
