Q:

Are these actual socks or just calf support? †he picture doesn't show material covering the foot.

Eileen O.  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

These only have calf support. They do not cover the foot.

Q:

what is the graduated compression on the socks? also, if i fit into two size categories, is it better to get the larger or smaller size? i have a 16.5" calf. thx!

Yang k.  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

It's recommended to go with the larger size. They run a bit small and the compression will be more comfortable.

Q:

I'd like two different kinds added to my basket, how do I go about ding that?

Mehreen S.  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

You would need to purchase different options in separate transactions. Don't worry shipping is free. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Q:

What compression level are these? I need 20-30 for my vericose veins. I often see 15-20 available in support stockings as well as the 20-30 higher compression. I'm hoping these might offer some relief in the hot FL weather because the toes and foot are not covered. Thanks.

Marilynn K.  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

Hi Marilynn. These would be closer to 15-20 but some runners prefer a smaller size to increased compression so the preference is very subjective.

Q:

Do these help with shin splints at all?

Mike  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

Hi Mike. Yes. This compression is meant to squeeze blood vessels and cause them to open more forcefully to allow more blood and oxygen into the muscle.

Q:

Are these good for me if I use them while sitting at my desk all day?

Brooke H.  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

Hi Brooke. They will help with circulation whether you’re moving or not but most of the benefit comes with movement. For example, the compression can reduce muscle shake when running and prevent soreness afterwards. The compression is also meant to increase blood flow and expedite healing after running a marathon.
