Q:

in amazon, this camera is listed at $109 only. here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-DV300F-Dual-Smart-Camera/dp/B007261A36.

The Groupon discount is based on the list price. The "list price" may be based on a survey of other online merchants, tied to a particular merchant's current or former price, or suggested by either the manufacturer or our supplier. It is not necessarily representative of current prices of other online merchants or the prevailing retail price in every area. An offer that's a fantabulous deal in one area may only be a stupendous deal in another due to regional price differences and the spotty existence of the word fantabulous

Q:

You didn't answer my question. How are photos loaded directly from the camera to the internet? Must it be done at a hotspot or do I need to come home to do it. Can it be done through ANY phone. This is a comment from Amazon: (Amazon Verified Purchase) "I bought this camera for one reason. I am a single dad and when I have time with my daughter, I don't have anyone to take pictures of us. So I researched this camera up the wazzoo, and was delighted to find out that it had a remote camera function via smart phones. Nothing ever specified that is had to be a Samsung smart phone. I just wanted to be able to use my phone as a remote to take pictures of my daughter and I. If you own Samsung devices... good for you. But don't waste your time, as many of the fancy smartphone features can't be used if you don't have a Samsung smartphone or device." Plus, when I google this particular camera, I have found it for multiple prices, some higher and some lower. I just need to know about the internet connection. Thanks.

A:

I am sorry for the confusion. The statement you pasted is not referring to the internet connection, but rather controlling the camera and taking a picture via a remote device.
As far as the internet connectivity, this camera can access the internet directly through a WiFi connection. In order to upload pictures you will need to be in a place that has wireless internet connection.

Q:

I read on an Amazon review, that in order to upload pictures to the internet, that I would have to have a Samsung phone. And that it would not work with any other phone other than Samsung. Is this true?

Syd B.  asked on  Jan 26, 2013

A:

I am sorry for the confusion! You can upload pictures to the internet directly from the camera.

Q:

I am a professional photographer but want to get a "knock around" camera that I can just throw in my bag or purse for the everyday "just in case". I tried a Nikon...it stunk. I tried a canon (my professional gear is Canon) and while it was pretty good it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. My question, what is the return policy should this turn out not to be what I'm looking for either? In other words, if it IS working mechanically the way it was made, but for whatever reason doesn't do what I want it to do, is it easily returnable? I am hoping I would not have to return it but want to know the criteria for returns should I decide it just isn't what I want. THANKS! :)
