Q:

When I search the MV3010 model number that youre showing, I am always coming up with "Shark MV3010 Navigator Elite Professional Vac or Steam Rotator" however, you state that this is not the Professional model. This tells me that there should be a different model number. What are the major differences between this and the Professional???

Brandon O.  asked on  Feb 13, 2014

A:

MV3010 is the base model number for all Shark Rotator Vac Or Steam machines. A “professional model” such as you describe has a three-prong power cord rather than the standard two-pronged version.

Q:

Does the steamer have a scrubbing action? Can you describe the power of the suction on the vacuum, ie, versus top competitors?

Lynne B.  asked on  Feb 13, 2014

A:

The steam nozzle does not have scrubbing action; deep cleaning is achieved by passing over the same area repeatedly. All of Shark’s Rotator and Rocket machines enjoy our Never Loses Suction advantage and will outperform competitor’s machines which are twice the price.

Q:

I KNOW IT CLEANS FLOORS BUT COULD YOU STEAM CLEAN OR AT LEAST SPOT STEAMCLEAN ON CARPET

GAIL V.  asked on  Feb 12, 2014

A:

The steam function is best used on hard floors and not recommended for carpet cleaning. A carpet glider attachment is available to freshen area rugs and carpets but it will not deep clean the carpet.

Q:

This is one vacuum cleaner with 1 head for carpeted or non carpeted floors, and 1 head for steam cleaning floors, correct? Are there attachments for the vacuum for cleaning furniture? Our new home has engineered hardwood floors. Will the steam head work well on this hardwood floor?

Marlene P.  asked on  Feb 11, 2014

A:

The machine includes two heads. The Vacuum head has a bare floor setting and a carpet setting which activates the motorized brush roll. The steam head is ideal for most hard surfaces provided those surfaces are sealed. The machine includes a dusting brush/crevice tool attachment which will assist in all your above-floor cleaning needs

Q:

What is the process to go from vac to steamer and steamer to vac? Can a person go back and forth easily or does the machine need to be cleaned/wiped down/water emptied... before it is used for the 2nd use?

Sara K.  asked on  Feb 11, 2014

A:

Changing from Vac Mode to Steam Mode or vice-versa is simple. One button unlocks the head that is being used from the main body. After unlocking, it is just a matter of lowering the main body onto the second head. No cool down time is required but we do recommend emptying any water from the steam head before storing the machine when finished steaming.
