Q:

I'm disabled and use special switches. Will any skydive ultimate switches work on this model?

Kitsune W.  asked on  Feb 6, 2013

A:

That device would only work with SLR cameras. The WG-2 is a compact camera not an SLR, so it would not be compatible.

Q:

Hello, If I buy the groupon and order the camara today, will I receive it by 2/28/13. I know it says delivery within 2.5 weeks, but just wondering if that’s the maximum it will take. I live in Los Angeles, CA.

David P.  asked on  Feb 7, 2013

A:

Most orders are delivered within 2 1/2 weeks from the purchase date. It may actually arrive sooner, but we would not be able to guarantee a specific delivery date. Tracking information would be provided once the item ships.

Q:

Ok the camera is waterproof if you drop it in the water to a depth of 40'.... but does that mean it will NOT take underwater pictures?

Patrick  asked on  Feb 4, 2013

A:

The WG-2 is waterproof down to 40 feet. That means it will keep water out of the camera down to that depth and will shoot either still images or video down to a depth of 40 underwater.

Q:

I need to mount a camera to my bicycle handlebars and have it auto shoot on interval as I travel. Does it have a mount receiver? What does it use for batteries? How long will it operate in auto mode on said batteries? Can I externally trigger shutter? If interval shooting available, what intervals are adjustable? I will be filming a trans-continental trip. If you could suggest a more suitable camera for such a task, what would it be?

Mark E.  asked on  Feb 4, 2013

A:

There are no WG-2 specific mounts although any mount that works with the tripod screw hole on the bottom of the camera will work. The WG-2 uses rechargeable Li Ion battery and additional batteries can be purchased. There is no external trigger for this camera. The camera has interval modes in both still and video functions however the intervals would not be adjustable.

Q:

Can I attach my current zoom lenses to this camera that I used on my old 35 mm Pentex cameras?

Dawn C.  asked on  Feb 3, 2013

A:

No, this is a compact camera and no other lenses can be mounted to it. This is the same for every manufactures compact cameras, they do no allow interchangeable lenses. You would need to purchase a mirror less camera like the Pentax Q or a full SLR but neither of those products are waterproof.

Q:

My son would like to have a camera which has the capability to operate much like a "Go Pro," where he can, for example, strap it to his race car for in-car video. Do you think that this camera has this type of capability? We also need a camera which is very responsive - our current camera takes much too long to capture the desired image after the button is pressed, and the desired action image is most often missed. Would this camera solve that problem, or would it only be solved when using "burst" mode?

Julie S.  asked on  Feb 3, 2013

A:

The WG-2 is a still camera with video capabilities. The WG-2 does have a hi def video mode that can be used in many different environments. There are not any accessory “brackets” for the WG-2 to mount for an in car video but any mount that uses a “tripod” screw mount would work.
It does have a burst mode that will provide 10 frames per second for up to 30 frames at a reduced resolution of 4 and 5 megapixels or a continuous model at full resolution of 1 frame per second. Also the WG-2 has an LCD on the back to instantly play back videos or stills.
