Q:

Ok, if it's left on permanently in moderate temperature or 70 degrees, how long does the battery last in either mode? Also, why does flash last shorter? Is it flashing brighter?

SAM  asked on  Aug 30, 2013

A:

We try to stay away from number of hours claimed because there are many variables that affect the life of button batteries. We do encourage customers to always turn the collar off in the dark. The biggest reason for early failure is that the user fails to push the button to the "off" mode upon entering a bright area after a walk with the dog in the dark. The button stays on and the next day the collar is dead. An average life for the battery may be 35 to 50 hours if they are taken care of properly. Replacement batteries are easily available at major drugstore chains in the size: CR2032.

I am sorry but we do not have information about why the flash lasts shorter. This is information we have received from the manufacturer.

Q:

How long does the battery last?

SAM  asked on  Aug 30, 2013

A:

That really depends on how the collar is used. The flash uses up the battery faster than just solid on. Cold temperatures or extreme hot temperatures affect the battery life as well. While many of these types of collars use 2 batteries, this collar only needs one battery. When replacing, use a good brand CR2032.

Q:

Can you tell me if these collars are adjustable? The space for adjusting, before the LED lighting, looks very small. Does the medium collar really adjust the 6 inches, 13-19 inches, it claims?

Brianna H.  asked on  Aug 29, 2013

A:

The tubing is bendable and is part of the collar length, so it just adjusts as part of the collar.

Sandi P.  asked on  Aug 29, 2013
