What It Does

• Measures the level of oxygen in the blood, ensuring a healthy amount is traveling through the body

How It Works

The device shines two light beams into the skin on one side of a finger. Under that skin are many capillaries that carry blood. On the other side of the finger, the oximeter evaluates the light that passed through the finger and determines the oxygen level in the blood. Meanwhile, the same device also tracks your pulse with gentle pressure over the finger.
