Q:

Is the shower head flexible? Can you move it up,down or to the side to adjust for your height?

Dawn K.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

The showerhead is flexible and adjusts on a solidbrass ball and coupling for a secure, durable connection.

Q:

The description says "solid brass arm and flange"; however, it does not identify the material of the shower head. I assume the "nickel" is a plating because a pure nickel shower head would cost more than this and would be very soft. So what is the shower head made from?

D H.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

The showerheads are composed of nickle plated, engineered plastic exterior shells. However, there are solid brass components within the ball and coupling joint to provide a secure connection and rotation.

Q:

Does the showerhead have a removable flow restrictor?

Patty P.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

The national U.S. standard is for every shower head to be manufactured with a flow restrictor of at least 2.5 gallons per minute. These showerheads adhere the standard 2.5gpm. Anything lower than that, is considers "Low Flow" or "Water Saving." Although our company does not provide documented instructions for removal, it is under the user's discretion to tamper with any components.

Q:

Hi, just want to make sure - I purchased Speakman Traditional 7-inch Shower Arm: Brushed Nickel (S-2500-BN) and ushed Nickel (S-3013-BN) . These two will fit together, and are all i need (other than regular pipes and a water supply) to swap out my existing shower head? thank you! I was in the shower this morning determined to purchase a new shower head!

Sadhya S.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

Absolutely! This is all you need. We supply standard plumbers (teflon) tape along with the showerhead. The should be wrapped around the threaded end of the arm and flange before your tighten the showerhead onto it. It will prevent any water from escaping. Enjoy your Speakman! You will love it!

Q:

i know Speakman from Westin Hotels and love them. Are these the ones that aerate the water and give you more pressure? That's what I need.

SUSAN L.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

These showerheads operate off the same engine and patented technology as the one you experienced in the Westin. Therefore, you should expect the same performance in pressure under any water supply.

Q:

Would these be considered "low flow" or water saving? Thanks.

Merrillee R.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

These are not considered low flow showerheads. To be certified as a low flow showerhead, it would need to operate off of 2.0 gallons per minute. These showerheads are the standard flow for the U.S. which is 2.5 gallons per minute.

Q:

Do all the shower heads have the same basic functions? It's just the design of the head itself that is different?

Mina K.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

That is correct. Each showerhead operates off the same shower engine, the design structure is what is different.

Q:

Is there a filter in the shower head? If so, what kind?

Brit F.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

There is a flow control that limits the flow to 2.5 gallons per minute but there is not a water filtration component.
