Q:

Do you have future plans to manufacture HDMI to mini-MDMI for other uses as there would be quality loss using an adapter you mentioned ealier and more devices are requiring the set-up?

DG S.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

I'm sorry, but it is not known at this time. There should not be any quality loss using a standard to mini HDMI adapter for a digital signal. That's the beauty of a digital signal.

Q:

is this like an Apple Digital AV Adapter? something that i can use to connect my iphone to a smart TV (with hdmi ports)?

Sinoi M.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

These are standard HDMI cables for audio/video. Your device and TV must have standard size HDMI ports. For example a blu-ray player to a TV or an HD cable box to a TV. Please refer to your device's specs for capabilities and connectivity.

Q:

High-speed cables with "Ethernet technology" , please explain the reference to Ethernet technology, does this mean the cable is shielded? or did your marketing folks throw that in for fun?

James H.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

No, it does not refer to shielding. It refers to a feature introduced in the official HDMI 1.4 specification set. The HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC) allows for a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet connection between two HDMI connected devices so they can share an Internet connection. You would need two capable devices to make use of this feature. Hope that helps.
