The Plot

About Bob Newhart

Bob Newhart, a Chicago native, rose to fame after the release of his 1960 comedy album The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart. Nicknamed “Charlie Everybody” for his mild-mannered style, and because every one of his fans was named Charlie, Newhart was known for his deadpan, slightly stammering delivery.
