Tom Ford Black Orchid Eau de Parfum for Women
Rich and Luxurious
Anchoring this sumptuous fragrance is black orchid, a luxury ingredient that’s custom grown and very rare. Along with woodsy notes at the base, the orchid offers a dark earthiness that’s offset by sweet, creamy notes of vanilla and citrus.
- Top notes of French jasmine, black truffle, ylang-ylang, black currant, and citrus
- Heart note of black orchid
- Base notes of patchouli, sandalwood, dark chocolate, incense, amber, vetiver, vanilla, and balsam
Eau de parfum fragrances assert themselves by diffusing into the air more aggressively than other scents; they can be almost twice as concentrated as eau de toilettes. They can also intensify when exposed to body heat, so a little bit can go a long way.
“Very well done, has personality to spare, and evokes a kind of grownup glamour that is very appealing.” – Now Smell This
- Oriental-chypre fragrance for women
- Introduced in 2006
- 3.4 fl. oz. spray
- Black fluted glass bottle
About Tom Ford
In 2005, after a decade-long stint at Gucci, Tom Ford launched his eponymous brand. In addition to a collection of optical frames and sunglasses, he partnered with Estée Lauder to produce a beauty line with fragrances and cosmetics. Next, he launched a menswear and accessory collection and opened his New York flagship store, whose doors appear only by tapping a certain nondescript brick four times. His women’s-wear collection debuted with participation from style icons such as Lauren Hutton and Beyoncé. In addition to winning five separate honors from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Ford has snagged British GQ’s International Man of the Year Award, title of Best Fashion Designer by TIME Magazine, GQ USA’s Designer of the Year, and GQ Russia’s Man of the Decade.
