Sorry for the delay. Batteries vary in size and capacity. The capacity of this battery is 2600mAh. The larger the value, the more power it can provide.

Is this device compatible with android? I take it I would need to use my existing wire as the unit does not come with a variety of adapters?

Yes, it is. If your device has a microUSB port and uses a microUSB to USB cable for charging, you could use either the included cable or your own.
