I loved the idea of a hammock to protect the back seat of a new car from animal dirt as well as wear and tear. On the first trip the animals figured out how to unzip the center zipper, which made the drive annoying. One of the animals got car sick on both ways, and the hammock did protect the upholstery. On the way home, I turned the hammock around so the zipper was in the back, which helped. On the second trip, the animals ripped pulled one of the tabs right off the hammock when jumping in the car, then their feet were ripping right through the material. On the way home, I lined the backseat with a blanket and used the ripped hammock. By the time I was home, the hammock was in shreds. (Each trip is only 1.5 hours) The pet hammock is a great idea, but this version is very thin and poorly made.
The dog hammock sounded good but it was worthless in real life. It was too small for a regular size car and the straps were also not long enough to properly latch onto any thing. Even after I "McGyvered" it with some poly cord to lengthen the straps, they were not functional. A waste of money unless you have a minute, mini me Smart car!
Love it...easy to install and fits all of our cars. Keeps our wet hairy dog from leaving a mess and keeps her safely hammocked in the back, not sliding around the seat.
Life hack: air it out when you first open the packaging before using. smell of rubber coating is pretty strong for a couple of days.
