Q:

Bob, Thank you for all the helpful replies. I was thinking on purchasing this coffee maker and decided to call your customer service line in order to inquire about the improvements that have been made from the highly faulty older version (older version carries a 1.9 star out of 5 in amazon.com). The customer representative was very unknowledgeble about the products and gave me the number for the Home Shopping Network to get more information (very unhelpful). I realized that the pictures on this offer are the exact same ones as the ones shown for the older model, and so I cannot distinguish the differences between the two models. Bob, could you please be kind enough to specify all the improvements done for this new model compared to the old one? Thank you

Elizabeth  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Elizabeth, let me apologize for the customer service issue we will update our associates to make sure they have the correct answers. The product has the following improvements. The brew mechanism was improved with new design and stronger springs. The lid is now 3/4 inch taller. The pot height was increased 3/4'. The product has gone under extensive testing and has meet all requirements. The machine was totally redesign from an engineering stand point. Thank You and enjoy.

Q:

What are the components made of? In other words, I see what looks like stainless steel on the outside but how about the inside where the water would be flowing through, is it stainless or BPA free plastic, or...?

Noize  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

The vesel where the coffee is stowed is made of stainless steel it is double walled to retain heat. The coffee is put in a gold tone filter basket . The water does flow through BPA Free Plastic.

Q:

So you put in whole coffee beans and this maker grinds them and brews the coffee?

Chris R.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Hi Chris! Sorry for the confusion. The machine does not grind the beans, you would need to use ground coffee with this machine.
