Giraffas Brazilian Grill
Meals at Giraffas Brazilian Grill double as foreign-language lessons. Pão de Queijo (pronounced “pow day kay-joe”) translates to "cheese bread," a traditional Brazilian appetizer. Made with yucca flour, these gluten-free cheesy bites serve as the perfect starter for Giraffas' South American meals. From there, diners move on to picanha (pea-cahn-ya): grilled-to-order all natural top sirloin steak, and brigadeiro (bree-ga-day-rows): a favorite Brazilian milk chocolate, dark chocolate or coconut dessert.
It's these sort of beloved Brazilian dishes, along with house-made sauces and dressings and domestic and imported wines and beers, that have helped made Giraffas so popular with diners. Their chefs have innovated with bold flavors as well, coming up with burgers and sandwiches such as the Brutus Burger: ground picanha beef topped with a fried egg, ham, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a brioche bun.
