2014 Big West Men's Basketball Semifinals

As a part of the buildup to March Madness, the Big West tournament will entertain fans with a fight for conference supremacy and an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament. As of February 28, with the regular season nearing its conclusion, the UC Irvine 'Eaters have positioned themselves as the team to beat or the team to trick into driving to the wrong arena. After finishing runner-up in last year's tournament, they sit atop the conference standings with a stout 10–3 record. Tied for second place with a pair of 9–4 conference records, the Long Beach State 49ers and the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos are also presumptive favorites for a semifinal berth, as long as they can avoid an early-round upset.
