A Guide to Attending the 2015 Masters
- The Mecca of American Golf: 2015 marks the 79th annual Masters Tournament, all of which have been held at the iconic Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. As the first of the four major tournaments of the year, the weekend will field all of the world’s top golfers, including amateur champions.
- Prime Vantage Point: Augusta veterans recommend getting a seat at Amen Corner—the bleachers right behind the 12th tee, where shots at the 11th-hole green and 12th and 13th tees add up to near-constant drama. Be warned, though: it’ll be packed.
- Private Practice: While all the high-stakes action takes place Thursday through Sunday, the Monday–Wednesday practice rounds make for a more relaxing exhibition. There’s another advantage to attending the non-televised portion: you can bring a camera and snap your own shots off the tees.
- Cheap Eats: Augusta’s concession stands haven’t changed their prices in years. The experts at Golf Digest recommend the $1.50 Pimento cheese sandwich in particular.
