The 80’s & 90’s Flashback Jam
Freedom Williams: As the rapping foreman of C+C Music Factory, Freedom made listeners obey his megahit “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” and move while musing to “Things That Make You Go Hmmm…”
Sequal: Thanks to this Latin freestyle duo, club-goers of the late ’80s grooved (and got over bad boyfriends) to dance-chart-toppers such as “Tell the Truth” and “I’m Over You.”
Shannon: Also known as the International Queen of Freestyle, this dance-pop songwriter owned the airwaves in 1984 with “Let the Music Play,” which was ranked #23 on Billboard’s list of the best dance songs of all time and doubled as an instruction manual for first-time stereo owners.
Maryam Zedeh As a vocalist in the Canadian Euro-disco group Tapps, Zedeh’s sensual vocals elevated the synth-pop hit “My Forbidden Lover.”
Other Notable Acts: C Bank | Two in a Room | Alisha | Curtis McClain | Keith Nunnaly | Juanie from Legacy | J.R. Jordan | Shanna|
