What You’ll Do

The word “fondant” comes from the French verb fondre, which means “to melt.” Sure, the name refers to how the confection is made—by melting sugar and water into a malleable paste—but it might just as easily wink at how this dessert-topper is likely to induce weakness in the knees. During a one-hour workshop at The Cake Boutique, students will discuss how to use and store fondant, while also learning other basic tips and techniques. By the end of the session, each student will use fondant to create their own mini cake.

  • Fondant Class
Use included tools and ingredients to prepare fondant, work with it, and store remaining fondant for future cakes and goodies.

  • Embellish a Mini-Cake
Decorate a 4” mini-cake with your freshly prepared fondant, and box it up to enjoy at home.
